NETEX-O Interfaces to EM Simulators

Netex-O has multiple outputs each of which serve a different target simulator. The table below summarizes which outputs are available and which simulator they serve.

Output Format Simulator Notes
ANF/CMP Ansys
Ansoft SI Wave
Ansoft HFSS
ANF=Ansoft's Neutral File, CMP = component file.
3Di AWR
MW Office

AWR has just completed a 3Di importer which supports nets, components and pins in addition to geometry.

ADFI Agilent/EEsof
ADS

The ADFI format is unique to Agilent's ADS and supports: substrate definition, geometry, drills, component and pins and nets (Note that nets are attached to pins and are not attributes of conductor elements.)

ASCII CST
Microwave Studio

CST already reads Artwork's ASCII format from NETEX-G. They would have to upgrade their ASCII importer to support the new component information now included in the output from NETEX-O. However as they have their own ODB++ importer it is not clear if they have any interest in doing so.

ASCII Remcom
XFdtd

Remcom already reads Artwork's ASCII format and may need some small upgrade to the reader to support the additional pin and component information that is created from ODB++.

ASCII Sonnet
Sonnet Suites

Sonnet already reads Artwork's ASCII format and may need some small upgrade to the reader to support the additional pin and component information that is created from ODB++.

XFL Apache(Optimal)
PakSi

Artwork needs to update the XLF output to add the component and pin information that can now be derived from ODB++.
